Categorized as an easily accessible mountain, the Nevado Contrahierbas Sur—known as Mateo, with an elevation of 5,150 meters above sea level—is located within Huascarán National Park, specifically in the Ulta Valley, Carhuaz. The ascent involves trekking on the glacier until reaching the summit.

Itinerary

Price Includes:
  •  Transport: From Huaraz to the starting point of your activity, and
    from the end point of your activity back to Huaraz.
  • Guide: Qualified and experienced mountain guide.
  • Equipment: includes all technical and personal equipment such
    as: ropes, carabiners, hiking boots, ice ax, crampons, helmet,
    harness, first aid kit.
Not Included:
  • Entrance fee to Huascaran National Park.
  • Additional expenses: as a result of leaving the expedition early, as
    a result of emergency rescue and/or evacuation, extra food or
    drinks in the villages, medical treatment.
